Sounds like Qureshi's near Alaknanda Market. Butcher shop by day, barbeque joint at night. Right next to the Green Chick Shop.

Value addition is the call of the hour. Plus the fact that ALL these combo joints invariably sell kebabs. Can you guess why? A lot of junk from the shop, accumulating during the day: scraps, tissues, inedible stuff like ligaments etc are mixed with inferior quality meat, and fed into the grinder. And LO!! Out comes the mince. On a corollary, ONE SHOULD NEVER BUY READY-MADE MINCE MEAT. Let the butcher sell it to you, and he is a happy soul. If you want mince from portions of your choice, cleaned and trimmed, he is a very very unhappy man.

Joydeep: Yes, Zakir Nagar is a great place. We did a "field trip" there just a month or two back.

But I agree it deserves a second trip. Soon!

Hey Hemanshu,

Had read about this post couple of days back so eventually decided to try dis place out today. I got home some chicken wings as well as fish which was the speciality there of the season. I found the fish by far means to be better than that of chicken. I actually am not that quite fond of fried chicken maybe thats why.

Fish by far tasted better. Especially when u sprinkle some lemon and add that masala.

All in all a pretty decent joint with regard to pocket as well as quality.
