As I’ve already applied for a place in your community, may b I should mention that we Bangalees are generally foody. We (our family) ran to Lucknow for kababs and kulfies. we go to Kolkata, jst to be at Sabeer or Aminia or Nizaam’s or Rehmania. here our destination is generally Karim’s. We went to Amritsar just to find ‘The Brother’s Restaurant’.We were at Sikkim just to find how good is there food. I generally go to Chennai(my husband stays there) just to have the authentic south indian food. But yeeeh Ireally want to join you as I don’t know so many food joints in Delhi and at present don’t have anyone to go with. And Hey!! I can still run a bit,if necessary.

ive stepped out of delhi after living here for 8 years. was missing it so bad today that i started surfing about it. came to your blog.. this entry’ s brought a whiff of good old chandini chowk right into my room in mussoorie and made me drool all over the place. excellent excellent post. cant wait to get down there and do the whole binge trip myself too!

i have come across this blog today for the first time and each piece is a delight…..when i am next in delhi, pls. pls. let me join the gastronomic adventures….i can run and i am a non-veggie….qualifications enuf i guess….as an aside, i have strolled around the famous areas of lucknow and calcutta during ramzaan and i shall try to be part of the ones in delhi later this year so that i can compare all three….tough fight and worth it..:0

Ah! The sight of Hemanshu running thru the crowd and luggage carts (with metals dangerously protruding out) of chawri bazaar! Reminded me of chasing a railway station porter running with my luggage thru a crowded station! (expression courtesy Surbhi)
